Water Control

The first step in solving water problems is to locate the source. Standing water in you crawl space or yard can cause major problems to the foundation of your home and the structural integrity.

Step 1 : Ensure the yard is properly graded away from the foundation.

Step 2 : Extend all downspouts, condensation lines and sump pump discharge lines away from the foundation.

Step 3 : Seal all penetrations in the foundation where water can enter.

Step 4 : Install a perimeter drainage system in the crawl space to gather any ground water that may still find its way in ” you cant stop water you can only redirect it ” .

Step 5 : Install a sump pump basin with a powerful sump pump to redirect the water to an appropriate location away from the foundation.
